Aarti Dhar (The Hindu) NEW DELHI: The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) believes that there should be extensive discussions with the public on all issues related to the use of nuclear energy as a safer alternative to traditional forms.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Building more nuclear power plants to reduce global warming emissions is not the way to fight global climate change, Finland's prime minister said on Monday.

EU not giving up on nuclear in quest for low-carbon future
