Displacement of fuel plates from their normal position in fuel assemblies during normal operation of research reactor |
During a routine core video inspection at end of the operating program 005 the team discovered three plates of three different fuel assemblies being displaced from their nominal positions by some 25mm, 250mm and 400mm respectively. No release of fission products was detected. For more details, please see the Attachment of this form.
