Workers exposure during weld tests |
Unit N3 is in planned outage. During weld tests in turbine department, 3 workers received doses of 0.65 Sv, 0.1 Sv and 0.03 Sv respectively. Workers' overexposure was caused by defect of testing device, containing radiation emitter. the workers were exposed to radiation during night shift in the period between 11 p.m. of November 9 to 7.00 a.m. of November 10.
Investigation of the event is in progress.
Justification of the rating: User's Manual - 1992 was used to rate the event. The event is rated with level 2 under on-site impact criterion, as "an event resulting in a dose to a worker exceeding a statutory annual dose limit".
