ERF description: A leak of radioactive water from the auxiliary building no. 2, common for units 3 and 4, has contaminated about 8 m2 of the building's wall and about 6 m2 of the ground surface covered by stone plates. The leak occurred during operations for cleaning out of pipeline. The pipe was damaged and radioactive water was spilled on the floor. The leak on the outer surface was due to existing wall joint. The maximum gamma dose rate was 20 mR/h at contact. the place was localized and continuous control over the radioactivity of the area is maintained. Decontamination of the area is in progress. there is no overexposure of personnel.
