In January 21th, 2002, a portable nuclear gauge was theft from a transport agency where it was stored after being sent from other location. The equipment was removed by another people having false Identification Document. A legal claim was presented by the owner of nuclear gauge to the National Police. The nuclear gauge was inside its normal transport package. The radioactive sources in the nuclear gauge are 296 MBq of Cs-137 and 1,48 GBq of Am-Be. The normal levels around the package are nearly 30 uSv/h.
The nuclear gauge i owned by an authorized company. The owner notified the event two days after happening.
