Sofia. National movement Ecoglasnost has sent a letter of request to the European Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs, whereby it insisted that Commissioner Piebalgs should take a stance on the NPP Belene issue.
The letter contains testimonials made by PM Stanishev and the Minister of Energy and Economy Petar Dimitrov that the Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NRA) has not yet issued a permission for the construction of the nuke plant, which Ecoglastnost claims, has been a violation of local regulations in the energy domain.
Ecoglastnost calls upon Andris Piebalgs to seek administrative responsibility under Art.1 of the Act on Safe Use of Nuclear Energy.
